1. Scope
This policy applies to website.bitano.io and its language-selection endpoint. Bitano products and third-party services reached through links may have separate notices and practices.
This page does not identify a legal entity or physical address that has not been officially published. Verified contact details, when available, appear in the footer and in the official channels section.
2. Data processed
The website may process the minimum technical information needed to deliver and protect the service. It does not ask you to create an account on this website.
- IP address and the country code inferred from it for automatic language selection.
- Browser language, selected locale, and whether your preference is automatic or manual.
- Ordinary request and security information such as time, requested path, user agent, response status, and rate-limit events, when generated by the hosting stack.
- A manual language preference stored locally in your browser under bitano.locale and bitano.locale.mode.
- Where a Bitano interface asks for legal acceptance, a record of that acceptance and limited technical evidence reasonably needed to demonstrate it may be kept for compliance and dispute handling. The relevant product may provide further details.
3. IP geolocation and subprocessors
When no trusted edge country code is available and your address is public, the server sends your IP address to ipapi.co. If that request fails, it may send the address to ipwho.is, operated by IPWHOIS.io. The providers return a country code; Bitano uses that code only to choose one of the supported languages.
This transfer occurs server-to-server. The browser receives the locale, country code, and source, but it does not load provider scripts, fonts, or trackers. The providers process the IP under their own privacy terms, which Bitano does not control.
4. Purposes and legal basis
Technical data is used to select a useful language, deliver requested pages, remember your choice, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and maintain service security. Depending on the law that applies to you, processing may rely on providing the service you requested, legitimate interests in operating and securing it, consent where required, or compliance with legal duties.
Bitano does not use IP-based country detection to promise availability, determine eligibility, make credit decisions, or infer precise location.
5. Retention and local storage
The application keeps a country result associated with an IP address in an in-memory cache for up to 30 minutes. The cache is limited to 2,000 entries, may be cleared earlier, and is cleared when the application process restarts. The /api/locale response itself is marked no-store.
A manual language preference remains in your browser until you reset it through the language selector or clear site data. Infrastructure and security records, if created, are kept only as long as reasonably needed for operation, protection, dispute handling, and applicable legal duties. Geolocation providers set their own retention periods.
6. Sharing and international processing
The IP address is disclosed to ipapi.co or, as a fallback, ipwho.is for country lookup. Technical data may also be handled by infrastructure providers necessary to serve and protect the website. Data can therefore be processed outside your country under safeguards required by applicable law.
Bitano does not sell personal data through this website. When you choose an external link—such as Bitano, Signals, Hyperliquid, Solana, Solscan, Pump.fun, or an official social channel—the destination receives data under its own terms.
7. Your choices and rights
You can override automatic detection at any time, reset the site to automatic mode, delete local site data, or visit a locale URL directly. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection, and to complain to a data protection authority.
Use the verified contact email displayed below to make a privacy request. Bitano may need limited information to confirm the request and will apply any lawful exceptions.
8. Security, children, and changes
Reasonable technical measures are used to reduce unauthorized access, but no internet service is risk-free. This website is not directed to children, and Bitano does not knowingly seek personal data from children through it.
This policy may change when the website, providers, or legal requirements change. The updated date above identifies the current version; material changes should be communicated through the website or verified official channels.

Only an email shown on this website after verification should be treated as an official privacy contact. Do not send wallet seed phrases, private keys, passwords, or unnecessary identity documents.
